Now that I got the action story out of the way; I move on to review Tales To Astonish #52 the wonderful Wasp Tells A tale!” story, This time she goes to an orphanage to tell her story to the local kids.  The tale she tells is titled “Not What They Seem!

The Story

The Story, within the story is about a group of escaped prisoners trying to pick a planet to hide from the law on,  after a bit of a discussion that alien plants are often not what they seem, they pick a planet where they see a war of the sexes taking place, joining sides with the men whom they are sure are going to win, they help defeat the woman,  but then.. just as the title says, things are “Not What they Seem

The story really offers a few great moral  piece of advice,  the one stated about  criminals getting what they deserve, but just as important, it should teach people to look at a situation fully before getting involved.

The Artwork

I feel that the art was done well for this short tale,  for both the story and the framing it is given with the wasp. Larry Lieber did a good job on this one.

I decided to included the introduction to the story to the right,  as I thought it was a fitting choice to show the artwork, and can do so without any spoilers of “Not What They Seem!” The real story of the peace.
