Scott Summers known to the world as Cyclops is the mutant feild leader of the X-Men. A teen boy who has many struggles including: the fear of the danger and risked posed by the slightest accident involving his eyes, the weight of responsibility of being the leader of the X-Men, and his feelings of love for teammate Jean Gray AKA Marvel Girl.

The dynamics above run though his thoughts and actions in the early issues without much in the way of resolve and help to build the stern leader that he becomes even up until today.
