Jean Grey is a founding member of the X-Men team who originally went by the codename of Marvel Girl. In the earliest of issues her power was a limited but often growing form of telekinetic ability. She is overserved both moving multiple small objects as well as herself, but often larger objects take a lot out of her.

In the earliest of issues she finds herself often the crush of the various males on the X-Men, including a less then appropriate panel showing the thoughts of professor X. It is only slightly hinted at early on her feelings directed to Scott, something that will grow in the Teen issues of the series and be more-or-less affermed after issue 20.
